Calgary, Alberta, April 12, 2019 – Today, SysGen Solutions Group is recognized as one of Canada’s 2019 Top Small & Medium Employers by Mediacorp Canada Inc. This is the second consecutive year SysGen has achieved this recognition. Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers recognizes the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. The full list of winners can be found here.
Employers are compared to other organizations in their industry to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs. Editors at Canada’s Top 100 Employers evaluate employers measuring the following criteria: Physical Workplace; Work Atmosphere & Social; Health, Financial & Family Benefits; Vacation & Time Off; Employee Communications; Performance Management; Training & Skills Development; and Community Involvement. The annual competition is open to any employer with its head office or principal place of business in Canada. Employers must have less than 500 employees worldwide, including employees at affiliated companies, and be a commercial, for-profit business.
Here are some of the reasons that SysGen was selected as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2019:
• SysGen’s head office features an employee lounge with a foosball table as well as a variety of free healthy snack options and an open wine and beer fridge on Fridays
• SysGen employees are encouraged to balance their work and personal lives through a variety of alternative working options, including flexible hours and telecommuting
• SysGen helps employees plan for the future with retirement planning assistance and encourage employees to recruit their friends with new employee referral bonuses (up to $2,000, depending on the position)
“We are pleased and honored to be named one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers for the second year in a row. It confirms that we have an innovative corporate culture, filled with talented and dedicated people,” says Ryan Richardet, SysGen’s President. “Our employees, along with their unique talents and work ethic, are the reason for our success. This award is for them.”
“The companies that make this list are fast-growing employers that need to innovate rapidly,” says Richard Yerema, Managing Editor of Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “Some have doubled in size over the past year, but all of them are looking for new ways to attract the best and brightest employees so they can keep growing. Many compete in high technology fields, where the race to scale-up isn’t just a matter of ambition – it’s a matter of survival.”
