Community Engagement

We’re people people.

The communities we work in are important to us. That's why we give back.

If you were picturing us as

a group of nerdy introverts, the joke’s on you!

We love people, and we’re always looking for new ways to get to know our community better and give back in a meaningful way.

Community support is a major part of our company culture, and we’re always eager to show up for local non-profits any way we can.

In 2015, we launched SysGen Cares, a program that’s solely focused on providing functional support to local non-profits for the betterment of our communities. Through this program, non-profit organizations receive financial donations as well as free IT support from SysGen for a two-year term.

Know a non-profit organization that could use our help? We’d love to meet them!

cSPACE

cSPACE is a non-profit enterprise dedicated to developing a network of multi-disciplinary creative workspaces across the city. Through cSPACE’s leadership, new generations of Calgary’s creative talent will be nurtured, neighbourhoods will flourish and bold ideas will be realized. Our city’s vibrancy will inspire and engage the world.

SysGen Cares awarded cSPACE with a SysGen Community Sponsorship Package (valued at $20,000/annum). cSPACE receives IT support for a two-year term at no cost, as well as the dedication of SysGen employee fundraising to enhance their positive impact on the local community.

Alberta Conservation Association

SysGen joins ACA as a multi-year partner for the Enhanced Fish Stocking Project, supporting trout stocking activities at Beaumont Pond, Waskasoo Park Pond and Nose Creek Pond. This support helps create recreational fishing opportunities for residents of Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary.

It also helps stock ponds used to host Kids Can Catch, family-friendly fishing events made possible by local organizations, businesses and volunteers.

Operation Christmas Child

SysGen proudly builds and donates shoeboxes to Operation Christmas Child annually. A company-wide engagement, all markets contribute by filling each shoebox with hygiene items, school supplies, and toys.
