We’re committed to our communities and are happy to share what we do best: technology management. We are thrilled to put our values into action by launching SysGen Cares to dedicate our expertise and resources to strengthen local not-for-profits. Community investment is a fundamental value of our business.
Lyle Richardet, Founder & Chairman of SysGen
We love community engagement, and we’re always looking for new ways to get to know our community better and give back in a meaningful way.
Community engagement is a significant part of our company culture, and we’re always eager to show up for local nonprofits in any way we can.
In 2015, we launched SysGen Cares, a program solely focused on providing practical support to local nonprofits for the betterment of our communities. Through this program, nonprofit organizations receive financial donations as well as free IT support from SysGen for a two-year term.
North Okanagan Hospice Society
In 2023, North Okanagan Hospice Society became one of SysGen’s new recipients of the SysGen Cares program. North Okanagan Hospice Society was incorporated in 1984 as a charitable organization to support those with a palliative diagnosis, their loved ones, and the bereaved. Initially formed as a small volunteer organization with a visiting program, the North Okanagan Hospice Society is recognized as a leader in developing and delivering comprehensive hospice palliative care services.
SysGen understands the importance of its challenging work in educating and empowering those with life-limiting illnesses and providing palliative and respite care for grieving families in the Okanagan community. SysGen Cares is a program that offers two years of free managed IT services to support local nonprofits in achieving their missions with efficient IT services.
Alberta Sports Hall of Fame
Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is one of 2023’s recipients of the SysGen Cares program. They provide a hands-on sports heritage experience from hockey and basketball, to electric assist bike rentals and wheelchair races. Alberta Sports Hall of Fame’s goals includes honoring Albertans who have distinguished themselves in sports and using Alberta’s sports history to encourage young Albertans to lead healthy, active lifestyles.
SysGen is excited to support its mission to preserve and celebrate Alberta’s rich sports history for all. SysGen Cares is a program that offers two years of free managed IT services to support local nonprofits in achieving their missions with efficient IT services.
Two Wheel View
Two Wheel View is another recipient of the SysGen Cares program in 2023. They envision a resilient community that connects youth with the tools they need to reach their full potential. It is their mission to provide programs that use the bicycle as a vehicle for change in the lives of youth. In 2022, Two Wheel View moved to Inglewood, allowing for the expansion of programs, the growth of a social enterprise bike shop, and sufficient space for their growing Calgary team.
SysGen is excited to support Two Wheel View’s mission to build a resilient community, supporting youth skill-building and wellbeing.
cSPACE is a nonprofit enterprise dedicated to developing a network of multi-disciplinary creative workspaces across the city. SysGen Cares awarded cSPACE with a SysGen Community Sponsorship Package (valued at $20,000/annum). cSPACE receives IT support for a two-year term at no cost, as well as the dedication of SysGen employee fundraising to enhance their positive impact on the local community.
