Calgary, Alberta, April 13, 2018 – Today, SysGen was named one of Canada’s best small and medium employers (SMEs) for 2018 as part of the Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers competition organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc. This is the first time SysGen has received this honour.
Companies across Canada are awarded based on creating some of the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. Employers are evaluated using the following criteria: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement.
Lyle Richardet, SyGen’s President and CEO said, “We are proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers. Our successes come down to the fact that we have an exceptional team. Without the outstanding effort of our employees, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
“For most working Canadians, it really is like finding the Holy Grail,” says Richard Yerema, Managing Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project at Mediacorp Canada Inc. “These employers offer fun, interesting, engaged workplaces where you can still get benefits like good maternity top-up or a decent retirement savings plan. It’s an attractive combination for employees looking to get the best of both worlds.”
The Globe and Mail has published a special online magazine detailing all of the winners. As per Mediacorp’s editorial team, see some of the reasons why SysGen was selected here. For more details about the competition, visit: http://canadastop100.com/sme/.
