Cybersecurity Policy

SysGen takes a three-pronged approach to a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy emphasizing People, Policy, and Technology. If your business concentrates on one area but not the others, a gap will exist for a security breach to occur.

Security breaches have increased 67% since 2014. And, since March 2020, there has been a 400% growth in remote desktop brute-force attacks in small to medium-sized businesses. One of SysGen’s three approaches to a comprehensive cybersecurity defense is Policy. The policy creates the organizational framework for appropriate security processes within your company. Without proper policies in place, organizations may be prone to malicious attacks.

Read more below to understand our methods and resources for optimizing cybersecurity policy in your organization.

Policy Development

Our Managed Security team collaborates with your organization to develop a robust cybersecurity policy. Guidelines and templates are provided as a helpful framework to work from. Through interviews with key individuals, we learn your business cybersecurity needs and the aspects of a security policy that would most benefit your organization. A review of the existing policy structure is conducted to understand your organization’s current situation. Our team of qualified professionals are experts in policy and technology development and help guide optimized company policies.

Data Encryption

SysGen’s cybersecurity experts develop a data encryption strategy for your organization, a security method where information is encoded and can only be accessed or decrypted by a user with the correct encryption key or password. Securing information in this way ensures that data is only accessed by those individuals who should have access. This will help ensure your organization’s crucial data and information is kept safe from bad actors.

Incident Reporting for Major Cybersecurity Incidents

Our Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CIRT) creates and maintains an incident response plan (IRP) while responding to, investigating, and analyzing incidents as they arise. The CIRT manages updates during or immediately after incidents and communicates with clients and other stakeholders as required to ensure effective mitigation of security threats. With the CIRT team, cybersecurity attacks are recognized as they happen, with an immediate response to stop the attack as soon as it occurs.
