Calgary, Alberta, April 06, 2021 – SysGen Solutions Group is recognized as one of Canada’s 2021 Top Small & Medium Employers by MediaCorp Canada Inc. This is the third year SysGen has achieved this recognition. Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers recognizes the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resource policies. The full list of winners can be found here.
“We are pleased and honored to be named one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers for the third year. It confirms SysGen’s innovative corporate culture and the dedication of our people,” says Ryan Richardet, SysGen’s President. “The past year has been challenging. But our team rose to the occasion for our clients and each other.”
Per the Globe and Mail, with SMEs employing 90 percent of Canada’s private sector labour force, the winners have not only shown persistence and agility, but also compassion. Most outstanding are the myriad of initiatives targeting the well-being of employees, from increased safety measures on-site to additional physical and mental health benefits for all.
The annual competition is open to any employer with its head office or principal place of business in Canada. Employers must have less than 500 employees worldwide, including employees at affiliated companies, and be a commercial, for-profit business.
Employers are compared to other organizations in their industry to determine those that offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs. Editors at Canada’s Top 100 Employers evaluate employers measuring the following criteria: Physical Workplace; Work Atmosphere & Social; Health, Financial & Family Benefits; Vacation & Time Off; Employee Communications; Performance Management; Training & Skills Development; and Community Involvement.
Here are some of the reasons that SysGen was selected as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2021:
• SysGen employees are encouraged to balance their work and personal lives through a variety of alternative working options, including compressed workweeks, flexible hours, and telecommuting
• New employees receive 4 weeks of paid vacation after their first year on the job
• As part of the health plan, SysGen pays up to 100% of the premiums
