The RFP/Implementation Project Manager will bring value to SysGen clients by facilitating the RFI/RFP process for potential IT Solutions. This function will guide SysGen clients through the requirements prioritization, solution evaluation, and acceptance criteria process to ensure all stakeholder business objectives are met. Following the selection of new software(s), the project manager will oversee the coordination and implementation of the application(s).

RFP Project Manager Job Duties:

  • Coordinate project lifecycle; kick-off, implementation and sign-off, and ensure project follows SysGen standards and procedures
  • Plan and schedule project goals; track project milestones, issues and deliverables
  • Prepare weekly work plans to ensure maximum utilization and a balanced workload for the project
  • Plan and manage change requests in relation to project scope, budget and schedule
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
  • Facilitate workshops to prioritize requirements using MoSCow or similar methodology
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solution evaluation and acceptance criteria
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints while developing plans to mitigate and address any concerns
  • Research software products and perform industry benchmarking
  • Develop IT Solution RFI/RFP to submit for tendering
  • Develop business cases to propose solution options to C-level executives
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements
  • Align stakeholder business and system requirements to overall client objectives and strategy
  • Build collaborative working relationships across all levels of clients’ organizations and with external partners
  • Liaise with selected vendor and manage a successful software implementation


  • 3 -5 years Project Manager or Business Analysis work experience
  • PMP or CBAP certified or working to accomplish certification
  • Experience delivering software projects to the SMB market
  • Experience managing RFI/RFP and software solution selection processes
  • Proven ability to develop business cases
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, training and leadership skills
  • Ability to articulate and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Superior analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
