As a Recruiter with SysGen, you are responsible for full-cycle recruitment and generating talent pipelines. Your passion for people allows you to build strong relationships with candidates and community sourcing partners. You are known for your ability to mine talent pools and uncover unicorns!

Contributions You Deliver as a Recruiter:

  • Delivering full-cycle technical recruitment services to all SysGen locations: Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer & Vernon.
  • Working closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs and develop job postings.
  • Utilizing social media and job posting platforms to source and attract candidates.
  • Developing and maintaining networks for sourcing and building pipelines; engaging with technical colleges, universities, professional groups, and associations.
  • Continuously direct-sourcing candidates for talent pipeline building.
  • Reviewing, screening, and qualifying incoming applicants.
  • Scheduling and hosting virtual interviews.
  • Accurate and timely administration of interview documents and technical tests.
  • Following up appropriately with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Conducting employment and background checks.
  • Developing and fostering strong relationships with internal hiring managers.
  • Consistently providing candidates with a great SysGen recruitment experience.


Skills, Experience, and Value You Bring as a Recruiter:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter.
  • Experience recruiting technical candidates for a managed services provider is an asset.
  • Familiarity with our roles and technologies:
    • Roles include Systems Administrators, IT Technicians, Infrastructure/Security Professionals, and Business and System Analysts.
    • Some vendor products and platforms include Windows Servers, Microsoft Modern Workplace, Datto, Sophos, Cisco, and Meraki.
  • Experience with sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Highly organized and efficiency-driven with a technical aptitude to maintain and exploit ATS capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple searches concurrently.
  • Track record of delivering quality candidates in a high-volume recruitment setting.
  • Passionate about being a subject matter recruitment expert.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator.
  • Strong research, networking, negotiating, and sourcing skills.
  • Positive, curious, and passionate with a drive to identify top talent to meet business goals!
